  • Take Notes
    Being able to refer back to your notes a few days, months or even years after taking the class will greatly increase the benefit you receive from these classes.

  • Practice What You Learn
    Practicing the things you learn at least two or three times during the first week or two after you learn them will exponentially increase your knowledge retention levels.

  • Share What You Learn
    Teaching someone else is one of the greatest ways you can solidify the knowledge that you have gained through learning.




 Overview
This curriculum has been carefully designed so as to provide the maximum benefit to the attentive student.  It is intended for those who have little to no experience with computers.  However, it assumes that you understand how to operate a mouse and a keyboard.


NOTE: Sign up for all three classes and the third class is just $10!


Introduction to the Personal Computer    $30
This class will introduce you to the terms, concepts
and fundamentals of the personal computer.  You will
learn the basics of how it works, what the various
components are called, how to identify different media
types and what their purposes are.


Introduction to Windows    $30
During this class you will discover what Windows is,
how it works and how to use it to get things done.  You
will be taught what the file system is, how it works
and how to navigate your way around it.  It will also
teach you how to interact with programs and files, how to personalize your computer and prevent serious Windows problems.


Introduction to the Internet    $30
If you've ever wanted to be more familiar with the
Internet & Email then this is the class for you.  It will
instruct you on the basics of using the Internet which
includes browsing and searching.  You will also learn
the fundamentals of email including how to send and receive attachments.  A discussion of Internet security will also be held.
